KBK transformed this brand-new home to give it a more traditional look and feel. Called in during the client’s planning stage we not only coordinated design details with the architect and builder but also helped our clients manage their budget and make informed choices. We managed preconstruction cabinetry and millwork design to fireplace stone and furniture selections. We provided furniture layouts and influenced details on the architect’s drawings so that the architectural details aligned with our design concepts for the paneled cherry library and powder room to the master suite, hallway built-ins and millwork details. This project outcome was a terrific example of the way we can work with architects and build on their vision by providing design input and expertise. We captured the traditional look and feel so effectively that a guest in the home would never recognize that it was new construction.
