Initial Consultation
We explore your goals and lifestyle priorities and get a feel for the Scope of Work you envision. We ask questions to uncover details that reveal your interests and aesthetics, your wish list, and your dreams because these will help inspire our design. We will also ask you to review our KBK Portfolio to preview our work and get a better idea of our range of design services. If you think we’re a fit, we’ll draft a Letter of Agreement that outlines your Scope of Work, Services, and Fee Structure.
Design, Development – Your Project Begins To Take Shape
Using a global design concept, we develop a master plan that relates your immediate project goals to your long-term objectives for your home. We begin by creating digital presentations that showcase our initial concepts and will enable you to visualize how your finished space will look. The presentation may include furniture, lighting, fabric, and color scheme selection as well as architectural and construction elements like electrical, plumbing, cabinets, millwork, and tile design. We’ll explain how our design elements personalize your space, including ways we can integrate some of your existing pieces into the new design. With careful attention to your budget and timeline, we help you navigate through specific product selection. Finally, when you’re ready, we oversee purchasing, shipping, and installation.
Project Management – Bringing Your Vision To Life
Our goal is to keep your project organized. At this point, Excel spread sheets for paint schedules and selections, and our CAD drawings (computer-aided design drawings) become helpful tools in making sure your architect and builder understand your design objective. We can oversee your project to make certain work stays on schedule and within budget. We keep you informed of progress and lead times. Frequently, we are called upon to communicate regularly with the builder and other vendors to prevent missteps in execution, circumvent problems, and troubleshoot issues to make certain your preconstruction design aesthetic is carried through to installation.
Project Completion – Turning Your Dreams Into Reality
We hope you love your finished design and enjoyed working with us and feel we are building a relationship. Please reach out if you want to expand on the work we’ve completed together or start a new project. We’re here to help. Thank you for putting your trust in us for your current design. With gratitude, KBK Interior Design
