KBK was engaged with this project from the onset and worked with our clients from preconstruction to decoration. The work was especially interesting because the clients decided to forego moving to completely update their home. KBK helped make selections every step of the way, designing all built-ins, millwork, kitchen, bathrooms, mudroom, closets and room decor. Tray ceilings, column and stair details were all influenced by the design concept we created collaboratively with the client. We repurposed existing furniture from one space to another. For example, the old living room rug became the master bedroom rug. New furniture was mixed in to create an updated look. The addition of family heirlooms and other belongings makes the design reflective of the clients’ personal style.
