We had the opportunity to bring 21st Century updates to a beautiful Victorian home. The charm of this home was highlighted with bold wallcovering in the foyer, preserving the chestnut millwork and adding custom cabinets throughout the first floor spaces. Dining room millwork hides radiators and exposed waterpipes while also providing necessary storage. Space planning, furniture and finishes complete these spaces with jewel-tone blues, greens and warm gold and orange accents for a fresh look. On the second floor, the childrens’ hall bathroom, primary closet and laundry spaces were renovated with bold color and unexpected black and white accents for a fresh look. The result was beautiful, confident schemes that preserved this historic home while addressing the needs of a family with young children for years to come.
